De maneira bastante peculiar e inusitada, o nome da cantora Bonnie Tyler está tendo uma semana e tanto com uma canção gravada em 1984, que foi utilizada em várias produções culturais recentes.
Coincidentemente, a faixa surgiu como trilha sonora de um trailer da Netflix sobre a nova versão de He-Man, em um episódio da série de Loki, no Disney+ e no anúncio do novo jogo dos Guardiões da Galáxia, para Xbox, PlayStation e PC.
‘Holding Out for a Hero‘, inclusive, já tem uma história assim desde o nascimento: foi originalmente gravada para compor a trilha sonora de Footloose, mas o sucesso foi tanto que está presente na cultura pop até os dias de hoje – e não dá o menor indicio de cair no esquecimento.
Anteriormente, a canção também foi utilizada nos filmes Star Wars: O Último Jedi e até mesmo em Thor: Ragnarok, entre vários outros. Outro momento bastante lembrado é quando a Fada Madrinha canta a faixa em Shrek 2.
Com a canção de Bonnie Tyler aparecendo nos trailers de Guardiões da Galáxia e de He-Man, bem como nos primeiros minutos do episódio de estreia de Loki, a músiça de 1984 se consolida mais uma vez como uma tendência atemporal.
